Ripple Announces to Invest $50 million


Ripple has announced the University Blockchain Research Initiative, a collaboration with top unversities around the world. Ripple will commit over $50 million in funding to support and accelerate academic research, technical development and innovation in blockchain, cryptocurrency and digital payments.


Ripple will work together with 17 institutions from all over the world. According to the statement of the project, these universities will determine their own research topics. Next to that, the schools will be partnering with Ripple on research that will stimulate understanding and innovation in blockchain, to create new curriculum to meet high student demand for learning about blockchain, crypto and fintech, and to stimulate ideas and dialog among students and academics.
